Question about Folder/File availability Test

Post by thomasschmeidl »

HM8.28 RCC 3.28 Win 2003 Started as a Service.

We set up a Folder/File Availability Test with
"Alert when file exists and oder than 60 mins."

What does that mean?

Alert when at least one file in the folder is older than 60 mins

or

Alert when all existing files in the folder are older than 60 mins

Unless you use some macro variables when setup this test (like %NewestFile% or %OldestFile%), HostMonitor checks specific file only.
If you specify folder name instead of file name, HostMonitor checks folder timestamp (it does not check files within folder).

If you want to check all (or some files) within folder, use Count Files test method
