Hi,

Version 8.82 on W2K8 as service.

W2K8SRV1 is installed with KSHM v8.82. I used WMI test to monitor TestSRV1 and work fine. But when I configure the same test to monitor TestSRV2, there is this error message: The object exporter specified was not found.

So, I copy the WMI Explorer to the TestSRV2. I was able to view the classes and instances with no problem. But, when I use WMI Explorer on W2K8SRV1 to connect to TestSRV2, the same error message pop up.

Is there any configuration need to be done on TestSRV2? Thanks.

I do not see any bug here. It looks like some DCOM/WMI configuration problem.

Is TestSRV2 runs on Windows Server 2008 as well? W2K8SRV1 and TestSRV1 - the same system or 2 different systems?
W2K8SRV1, TestSRV1 and TestSRV2 located in the same network and domain? or there is some router with NAT address translation between systems?

Have you specified account for WMI tests using Connection Manager?
http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mframe.htm#profiles.htm#conmgr
Can WMI Explorer started on W2K8SRV1 connect to TestSRV2 and retrieve list of classes?

What exactly object you are trying to monitor?
Can HostMonitor check some standard classes on TestSRV2 using query like "SELECT Name FROM Win32_Service"?

Regards
Alex

I used the WMI test to monitor services. I found this error happened randomly. The test can be working fine until this minute, then the error continue for few minutes up to hours, then it will go back fine.

Any idea why?
