|
|
Hello,
we are using AHM and Active RMA in several customer networks.
In some networks with restrictive Firewalls we cannot connect to AHM with Active RMA. We dont want to open customers firewalls so we tried to use the proxy settings in Active RMA setup. We tried all settings with or without Authentication but always "connection error". Is there another way to enter proxy information - the GUI in "Test settings" seems to the wrong one?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,

Not sure I understand your network configuration. Does firewall block all income and outgoing connections? Then how your customers work with internet? Only thru HTTP proxy server?
Then if you cannot open 1 port (either for incoming or outgoing connections), you should install HostMonitor inside that network.

You are right - our customer only allows http via internet, and only via proxy server. In this case i have to open a port in the firewall for active rma or is it possible to use the http proxy?
You wrote i should use hostmonitor inside that network. In this case i need a separate licence?

No, RMA cannot work thru HTTP proxy.
However it may use port #80 (HTTP port) if any kind of traffic is allowed thru this port (if this port is opened on firewall).
