I have no idea if this is a little thing of a big thing but it would sure be nice to be able to import/export test lists from the RCC.
Or, if that isn't feasible, be to able import/export test lists without stopping service. Ie...
net stop hostmonservice
"C:\Program Files\HostMonitor7\hostmon.exe"
net start hostmonservice |

Yes, we have such task in the list.
On the other hand, if you need to import new tests (or modified test settings) on regular basis, you may create test item that will check for import file (e.g. File/Folder Availability test method) and import tests automatically using HM Script action...

Hi Alex,
Thought I'd ask about this again - do you still think you may be implementing the ability to import/export tests to text from RCC?
This is not a huge deal - we are not currently doing this often enough to be a major issue. It's just that currently, it is a bit of a hassle. Since we run HM as a service and use 5 RCC stations, performing import export currently requires:
1. Shut down service
2. Restart as app on main HM host
3. Export, Edit, Import
4. Shutdown app
5. Restart service
Also, I've noticed edits my other RCC users are making to a series of tests that I know can be done far quicker by editing text and reimporting.
Just curious about where this stands.
Thanks! |

Export function will be implemented in next version of RCC. If you want, we can provide unofficial update pretty soon.
Import... I think it will be implemented a little later.
