Method to launch HM Script outside of hostmon

I have an email that is generated that if it has certain subject, and I need a Hostmon test to change status because of it. My thought was to have a Rule in outlook that would execute an application which could launch the HM Script to change a test status.

Is this possible, or would there be a better method to perform this type of interaction since there is no mailbox monitor function as of now.

If you can start some external application, I would recommend to start application that will send SNMP Trap message to HostMonitor.
Then setup SNMP Trap test item(s): http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mframe.htm#tests.htm#snmptrap
