Windows 7 quirks for RCC and Watchdog

Post by meppyman »

In Windows 7 (x64 in my case) I have RCC and Watchdog set to start and logon automatically at logon. If I had RCC minimised when I last shutdown the RCC window will be minimised to a small box near the start menu with the minimise, restore and maximise buttons on it instead of being minimised to the notification area. If I restore the window and minimise it straight away it does the same thing, but if I restore and wait a short while then minimise it goes to the notification area as it is supposed to.

Another quirk is if I have RCC set to start minimised it cannot automatically logon.

With Watchdog if I set it to start minimised it will not logon either.

They are minor UI quirks that probably relate to Windows 7 changes, but figured it would be good to raise them so that they can be fixed down the track.

Thanks, replaced my WD with that version, it gives the red cross for a few seconds then changes to a green tick... thanks!

Yes, this is correct behavior for minimized mode.
