Hi support
we moved our hostmon server to a new domain.
after this we can't execute external programs as alert.
i think that this may be a permission problem, can you tell me what kind of permission the user that run hostmon need?
The domain user that start hostmon (exe, we don't use the service) is a local system administrator.

When HostMonitor cannot execute some action, it records information about error into system log file that is specified on System Log page in the Options dialog. Also, you may check Quick Log to find error description (menu View).
What exactly error do you see in the log?

nothing was written in the syslog about this problem.
Hostmon is setted to log only failed action.

No errors? This means either
a) HostMonitor starts specified application without any problems.
You may verify that by enabling "Record info about successful actions" option
b) HostMonitor does not even try to start action.
Probably actions disabled or action execution restricted by the schedule...
