hello.

i want to monitor W2008 machine from another W2003 machine.
but from W2003 i cannot even ping that W2008.

want to ask what ports or whatever is using by hostmonitor to monitor another machine, so there can be made exception in firewall.

HostMonitor uses standard ports and protocols because it checks standard servises and servers. Everything depends on tests those you want to implement. For instance, URL test uses port 80 (HTTP) or 443(HTTPS). SMTP and POP3 tests uses 25 and 110 port accordingly. SNMP test requires 161 port, etc.
