hostmonitor version: 7.78

i have read some topics about backup and restore, it needs to copy all ini files and the hml files , but in our company , we just copy the hml files for restore, could u give me a list about the difference between these two methods ? without copying ini files , which settings will be lost?

INI, HML and LST files.
If you backup only HML file (that contains test items folders and views), you will lost all profiles: schedules, alerts, reports, color schemes, user defined macro variables, mail templates, patterns, user profiles, etc

Yes, they are in different folders and you need all of them - I found out in the upgrade to V8 as I did a clean install and changed directory names.

cheers, Paul
