Hei.
Sorry for asking this question if it has already been asked, but we do have a problem sending emails. This worked up until 2 days ago. And now the person responsible for HM has gone on vacation and i am supposed to be responsible for it while he is away.
We run HM version 7.20 on a server running W2kSP4. We have 2 mail servers configured, both SMTP, one which requires logon and the other one does not. Both mail servers are external ones so i don't know much about them. Though I have already tried changing one of these to be our own mail server, Exchange 2008 SP1, also through SMTP.
Still no mail sent. Is there any log files i can look through to find more about the problem... or is there som place i can perform a mail test?

Problems sending email
Yes, when HostMonitor cannot perform some action, it records error message into logs. You may check Quick Log or system log file.
System Log file specified on System Log page in the Options dialog.
http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... ptions.htm
Use menu View -> Quick Log to open Quick Log pane.
http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... ickLogPane
Quick Log may work in 3 different modes:
- Show test results
- Show actions
- Show test results and actions
You may select Quick Log mode using popup menu that appears when you click right mouse button on Quick Log pane . Then you may select test item to see actions triggered by this specific test item.
Also you may use "Reverse alert" option (Test Properties dialog) to trigger events. So you will be able to see entire communication between HostMonitor and mail server in real time in "Send mail" popup window (unless you have disabled this window using settings located on Mailer Settings page in the Options dialog)
Regards
Alex
