Please pardon my ignorance but I am having trouble understanding the options for sending SMS alerts with Host Monitor. I do not have a GSM Modem (although we did just purchase a UM150 USB "Modem" Broadband access device from Verizon Wireless to allow email/web/VPN over the Verizon wireless network ... possibly it could be configured to fuction as a GSM Modem?) I have searched the Internet trying to find SMS SMPP providers or hosts here in the US but my searches find SDK offerings, web site SMS enablement software, SMS Gateway Software etc. Could someone kindly point me to a USA based provider that offers what is needed by Host Monitor to send out SMS messages?
Thank you for your time.

Re: SMS SMPP help
You may use following actions to send SMS alert with HostMonitor:macm wrote:Please pardon my ignorance but I am having trouble understanding the options for sending SMS alerts with Host Monitor.
1. Send SMS thru GSM modem connected to the system.

2. Send SMS using SMPP protocol over IP connection.

3. Send SMS using SMTP -> GSM gate, it such case you may use "Send e-mail" action to send e-mail.

Actually, we do not have UM150 USB modem in our environment, so we cannot test it. However, it looks like it should work with HostMonitor.macm wrote:I do not have a GSM Modem (although we did just purchase a UM150 USB "Modem" Broadband access device from Verizon Wireless to allow email/web/VPN over the Verizon wireless network ... possibly it could be configured to fuction as a GSM Modem?)
