Active rma - does not support specified test.

Active rma - does not support specified test.

Hi,

I began to move our agents from passive RMA, to Active RMA connections.
I have changed the agent to active rma.
The test is WORKING fine. No problem.

But If I change anything in the test, or just opening it, and press OK, I get a warning message:
Warning: Agent-machinename does not support specified test.
Would you like to perform this test by Hostmonitor?

I press No, so it is still tested by the agent, and it is still working fine. Just it's annoying that I get this message.
So far I have seen this message for: UNC availabilty /free space, CPU usage, other performance counters, Shell script.

It's a Hostmon 7.10

I think, these test are not allowed to execution by particular agent. You just should start "rma_cfg.exe" utility on rma side and mark necessary tests in "Enable following tests" area. Quote from the manual:

specifies the list of tests methods allowed for execution by this RMA. To enable a test mark the corresponding check box, to disable a test unmark the box near it.

If you do not want to use rma_cfg.exe utility, you just should change settings for appropriate tests in [Active_EnabledTests] section of rma.ini file in the folder, where rma is located.

Hi Max,

That was the first thing when I installed the agent. I enabled all test in the config program. So the issue is somewhere else.
I could imagine that by default this test is not enabled by the active rma agent, and the changes are not reflected back to the hostmonitor server.

Edit: I have checked the RMA manager, and there I can see that all tests are enabled by the acive rma agent.

We cannot reproduce this problem...
What version of RMA do you use? Could you please send agents.lst and hostmon.ini files to support@ks-soft.net?

I do have the same problem. Same error message and test ran successfully.

What you have some problem, please tell us what software do you use:
- HostMonitor version
- RMA version
- What exactly test method shows warning message?

Please note: we have fixed some problems in Active RMA since version 3.04 Beta. If you are using Beta version, please update to official release: HostMonitor 7.22 and Active RMA 3.10
