Hi,

We have Hostmon 7.10.

We have a test, which has a schedule that it should only test between 9:00 AM and 24:00. And it is set up to test it every 3 minutes.

Today I noticed, that at 10:10 AM the test is still showing that it is out of schedule. I had to refresh it manually to get the test working.

I have noticed as well, that sometimes if I pause a test for 10 minutes, the dependent tests not always refreshing them self, when the pause had expired.

Please investigate it,
Thanks
Josef

Could you please provide additional information?
1) How many test items do you have and what is average test interval?
2) What value have you set for "Consider status of the master test obsolete after N seconds" option (option located on Behaviour page in the Options dialog)
3) What conclusion is displayed by Estimated Load dialog (menu View -> Estimated load)?
You may send screen shot of this dialog to support@ks-soft.net

Regards
Alex

Thank you for the files. We cannot reproduce exact the same testing environment in our network so I am not 100% sure what cause the problem.
However it looks like you have too many relations between master-dependant tests while value of "Don't start more than [N] tests per second" option is too low. "Evaluation load" dialog cannot calculate necessary resource usage demand for dependant tests and does not inform you about this problem...

If I am right, then you may fix the problem by increasing "Don't start more than [N] tests per second" parameter. Try to set this parameter to 40.

Regards
Alex
