Running host monitor as process - allowing one instance only

Post by PieroB »

Hi all,

we are running Host Monitor as process. Is there a simple way to allow only one instance of it?

Maybe i'm missing the right configuration checkbox, but I catch a couple of our IT people that were able to start three instances of Host Monitor on the same machine :-(

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

The only one instance of HostMontior can be started as a service. However, anyone can start several instances of HostMonitor in application mode.

HostMonitor always warns operator, when one instance of HostMonitor is already running. So, you should point people's attention out to this warning box.
Actually, you can start several instances of HostMonitor from different folders and these instances should work fine. Thus, there is no option to restrict user to start second instance of HostMonitor.
