HML replicator
Replicating tests - using the 'replicate by' drop down box doesn't work - typing the same value in allows replication to appear in the destination file, else the fields remain as the 'replicate by' value throughout.
V. 1.01 of replicator, on W2K3 SP1

Yes, this works (the text to be replicated in the left pane is highlighted in red).
However, if I select the text to be replicated from the drop down box (i.e. phrases I have already replicated by), and run the replication, the text in the right hand box only contains the text to replicate by, not the multiple entries I like it to be replacing it with.
If I type the text to be replicated by into the middle box, even the same phrase, it works correctly.
I reuse the same phrase to replicate by, as I've tried to template my tests, so I can replicate by host name and get lots of distinct tests out.

I can confirm the problemjivetolkein wrote:However, if I select the text to be replicated from the drop down box (i.e. phrases I have already replicated by), and run the replication, the text in the right hand box only contains the text to replicate by, not the multiple entries I like it to be replacing it with.
- Open a file in the left pane
- In the middle pane: Chose a string from the DropDownList (I tried the first one)
- Type in List of values (I used two)
- Click "Replicate..."
In the right pane the first lines shows
;=============================================================================
; replica #1
; "" replaced to "123"
;=============================================================================
- and the "Replicate by" field is empty now

Ok, we were able to reproduce problem on Windows 2003 system. While Windows 2000 and some XP systems work fine.
This version should work fine on any Windows: www.ks-soft.net/download/replicator.zip

High CPU usage is normal. But it should not take 10 minutes for 10x60 tests, unless you have PII processor
Replicator needs less then 10 second to replicate 10 tests for 60 hosts on my old P4 system. We have tried several other systems, only old Celeron system spent more then 4 minutes.

Sorry spoke too soon - still broken, but in a different way.
Generates lots and lots of tests from one entry (600!!), and whilst the replica number increments, the comment says:
;=============================================================================
; replica #13
; "" replaced to "myserver.blah.com"
;=============================================================================
.. and the replica still uses the 1 entry in the list...
The 'replaced to' comment refers to the original full list of servers (60-70 or so), and there appears to be the correct number of tests made for each of these entries - even though they aren't supposed to be there.
Trying on my workstation now instead!
