Having trouble connecting to a remote NT Server (on a different domain). We have administrator access (ie can see all shares etc) and can also see services through HostMonitor. When we try to connect to processes we get a WARNING: Cannot retrieve process list...If we try again, the program crashes! |

Do you have "Remote registry" service started on remote system? To retrieve list of processes HostMonitor must have access to registry.
About crahes: I think I fixed this problem long time ago. What version of HostMonitor do you use? |

Still no joy. The remote system is a NT4 server (PDC) in a trusted domain. The Host Monitor (311) is running on a Windows 2000 workstation. We can check process on workstation in the same domain as the server but not the actual server itself. Both workstation server and Hostmoitor machine all use the local domain administrator account to logon. Where is the remote registery service? Is this on servers?
Many thanks. |

Remote registry service must be started on system which you want to test. As I understand this is your NT server. On Windows 2000 this service installed by default, for Windows NT you can found this service in the Resource Kit.
