Copy Web Service Preferences user to user?

Post by sneader »

I have preferences for Web Service set up a certain way (color palette, certain columns, interactive tree enabled, etc.) and I would like this configuration to be for all users when they first sign in. If they want to customize it after that, that is fine.

Right now, I manually create the user, then I log in as them, then I customize it. When that user signs in, it seems to work.

Is there a better way?

Sorry, there is no other way.
Probably we can implement some "user manager" in future versions  Medium priority task

Thanks Alex. I wouldn't be opposed to doing this by editing an .ini file somewhere, but it appears the preferences are stored in binary files?

Could this be created with this in mind:
Add "Manage own Preferences" to web user Profiles (http://www.ks-soft.net/cgi-bin/phpBB/vi ... php?t=4254)

Thanks.
