|
|
Hi,
Details:
Advanced Host Monitor 5.70
RMA for Unix v. 1.22
Target: Solaris 8 - Sun V120
I want to use "Folder/File Availability" to check if a symbolic link is alive. When I browse to the folder, RMA can't see symbolic links. None appears to me.
Any ideas?
Thanks for help.

Yes, RMA does not show links.
If you need that, we can make changes in RMA 1.26. But I see you still using pretty old version of HostMonitor so I assume you don't like to update your system.
Well, then you may try to type filename (path) manually, test should work
Regards

I have the same issue with files, I want to check a log file that actually is a symlink to a file name akward with date, and the link pointer changes frequently, so I cant check the real filename.

Alex,
I made as you suggested. It works. Thanks!!
PS: I'm testing the newest version (6.82). Probably we'll update this year.
PS: I think that this feature (show links) could be in next RMA version.
Thanks for help.
