|
|
Hello,
Impossible to get some performance counter with RMA 3.44 running under W2K3x64.
most of the perf counters are working but I can't get any information for this counter \\<server>\ASP.NET Applications(__Total__)\Cache Total Entries (for example)
But it's working with hostmonitor.
Any ideas ?
Regards. |

Actually, HostMonitor and RMA uses the same code for the "Performance Counters" test.
Do you want to check counters on the machine, where RMA is running? In this case, could you try to select "Use local computer counters" option in "Select a counter to monitor" window?
As a workaround, I would suggest you to use "WMI" test method: http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mframe.htm#tests.htm#wmi

the errors are for all performance objects called "ASP.NET*" tested by rma if the counter is taken on a x64 server. |

Looks like it is a real problem to gather performance information from 64-bit machine by 32-bit application. We will try to investigate the problem and find the appropriate solution. As a workaround, I would suggest you to implement the approach, described in the following article: http://blogs.msdn.com/edglas/pages/reading-32-bit-counters-on-a-64-bit-machine.aspx
