Any possibility to set the parameter 'Ping test interval' lower than 10 sec in IP-Tools's hostmonitor function?
Or an updated version is planned to do so?
As it's quite useful for low-end user who's seeking an affordable multi-hosts ping test tool with instant observation feature.
IP-Tools --"Hostmonitor", ping interval setting

Sorry, there is no such option. Why do you need such feature? I do not think it has much sense. You may play with "Timeout" and "Retries" parameters. For instance, you may specify test interval 10 sec, Timeout - 5 sec and retries - 2 times. So, in case host is alive, you will ping the test each 10 seconds. In case Host is unreachable, it will ping the Host two times during 10 sec interval. Pretty good. Don't you think so?
Also setting the interval less than 10 sec could produce significant network traffic, I think.
BTW. There is a special branch for the IP-Tools questions: http://www.ks-soft.net/cgi-bin/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=2
