I've got a some windows servers to be checked: I've to check a service and in the alert profile I want to restart the service if the test fails.
And this is ok. But I've got to check about 50 servers and I want to use the same alert profile. My problem is that I have to specify the name of the server where to restart the service: in this way I have to do 50 different profiles that to the same thing for 50 servers.
Is there any way to use (like in the email section) a variable to specify the name of the host?

Thanks a lot and sorry for my english.

I'm tring version 1.76. Is it solved in version 3?

This was the question I had asked before Alex. I must not have been clear enough and I'm from the US. Loooks like your English is better than mine fioi.

I believe this problem was solved in version 1.70. You can use macro variables %ServiceName%, %ServiceComp%.
Please, look at http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mframe.htm#actions.htm#macro

Regards
Alex

Alex,

thanks!! It works great now. My problem was that I was using %HostName% and not
%ServiceComp%.

Thank you very much.
