Sorting of report manager

Post by AntonyP »

I have configured the newly added feature of report manager to sort items according to Status Changed. Nevertheless, i have noticed that if the failed tests belong to different folders, or subfolders, then the sorting does not place all failed tests according to the sort method (tests are placed alphabetically depending on the folder they belong and then sorted by Status Changed). If i change the sort method to Reply, then the sorting takes place as it should.

It is really strange, so, i am willing to send my config files to the support dept. as i had done the last time we had a problem with HM.

We cannot reproduce this problem. Please send *.LST, *.INI and HML file to support@ks-soft.net. Also send the report.

Truth to say I do not understand how did you get that report:
1) HostMonitor does not create reports in PDF format.
2) I see test items from several folders in that PDF file. HostMonitor sorts test items within a folder. It does not mix test items from different folder.

Hello,

The pdf file was generated using pdf995, from the original .html report of HM. So you say that HM sorts tests within a folder, not from all folders together?

E.g.

Folder1
Test a - reply=4
Test b - reply=5

Fodler2
Test c - reply=22
Test d - reply=8

If I choose reply as sort method, I will get a report like this

Test a
Test b
Test d
Test c

?

Thanks!
