Quick log

Post by thomasschmeidl »

In the quick log I can see Event Time, Test, Status, Reply and Test method.

Is it possible to add any coloumns?

If not - this would be very useful (e.g. showing the folder of the test)

HostMonitor shows Quick Log for the selected test or folder. So, you see folder and other columns right above the Quick Log.

You are right, but when I select "Root", I see the log for my whole domain. This is very interesting, but as I have many servers with tests like "CPU >90%" I cannot associate the log entry to the server that caused it.

Then probably you need popup menu item that will show the test.

User defined menu is an other impressing function of AHM I haven't realized yet!

But it doesn't seem to be the solution for my problem, as the manual writes "These menus will appear after right clicking on the test in the Test Details area of HostMonitor window". When I right click in the Quick log area nothing happens.

Our setting is like this:
We have 40 Servers, many of them with the test "CPU>90%". In the morning I select "Root" to see all tests and look to the quick log. The quick log informs me that at 3:00am one of the servers went red with CPU>90% and went green at 4:00am. I have no idea how to find out which server it was (except selecting one server after each other).

Do I make a mistake?

I was talking about new option for Quick Log that might help you (future time), not about user defined menu.
Probably we can implement that option in version 6.00

That's why people include name of the server into name of the test
