Default Logging Mode - Bug?

Post by MSC »

I am using HostMonitor 5.70 and ran into a peculiar problem. I am not sure if this has been documented before or not, but here is what I found.

Whenever you are not using the common log file (Options menu, Log Settings), the option "Default logging mode:" is greyed out. In my situation, I am using the ODBC log (Options menu, Advanced logs). After many hours of troubleshooting, it turns out that the "Default logging mode" has an effect of what gets written to the ODBC log, despite the fact that the option is greyed out.

Because this option was set to "write a record when test status changes", not everything was written to the ODBC log, which is what I want.

Just wanted to share this with you.

That's correct behavior.
Ok, may be not 100% correct but its how HostMonitor was designed, its not a bug
