RCC Problems

Post by StevenE »

I upgraded to 5.66 about a 10 days ago, ever since then my RCC has been disconnecting, not updating properly and this morning it is frozen solid.

I couldn't click anything, I couldn't even right click the button on the start bar.
I did copy the new RCC files to my machine, is there a problem or anything I should change ?

Thanks

Do you mean previous version of RCC worked without any problems? Or you did not use RCC before?
has been disconnecting
Whar error it shows? "Connection lost"? Probably your network in not very releable? Could you increase timeout?
not updating properly
What exactly it means?

I think all my problems are coming from the RCC client disconnecting. I was using 5.64 without any problems and it had stayed connected for days without a problem.

5.66 does not seem to stay connected, after a while it gets disconnected and the message shows up under the Monitor window so I do not see it.

I just did that this morning, I noticed it was set to 7 seconds. I increased it to 30 seconds.

Is that OK ?

I know nothing about your network. In most cases 30 sec is Ok.
