Problems with HTTP Test

Post by strouja »

Alex and all, I'm trying to do something w/ advanced host monitor and I'm not sure I can. I read the manual, FAQ, and searched this forum.

I'm trying to login into and https web site, then while logged in check data on one page, click another https url and check data on that page, and click one more https url. All of this needs to be done while logged in.

I read somewhere that you cannot use the HTTP test with Post and HTTPS. I've tried countless things but don't seem to be able to do this with host monitor. I tried both URL tests and HTTP tests. With the URL tests I can log in but I do not know how to go to another link while still logged in. I tried POST w/ allow session cookies and I tried HTTP GET.

Any ideas or steps on how to do this?

Yes I do have checked Accept SSL certs w/ invalid host names and invalid dates. This i need b/c my site does not have a valid ssl cert.

Thanks for any help, James

That's the problem. HostMonitor cannot check several web pages within the same test item.
I think you need custom script to perform such check. There is simple Perl script that can check web page http://www.ks-soft.net/cgi-bin/phpBB/vi ... php?t=1293
You may modify it to accommodate to your needs
