Email time stamp.

Post by evensteven »

I am being asked why there is a difference in the manor in which the time/ date stamps appear in different places within an email alert.

The email headers will show:
Sun, 08 May 2005 21:29:03 -0400

Yet the body of the email correctly shows:
Date : 5/8/2005 9:29:03 PM

My thoughts were:
- An email server issue (such as wrong locale), but those from the Host Monitoring Program are the only ones to appear this way.
- Client side issue, except my using Evolution and others using Outlook we see the same display discrepancies.

I've checked for settings within Host Monitor and have not found anything that would explain or allow me to chnage this.

Any assistance...
thanx

May be I am missing your point but I do not see what is wrong here.
E-Mail header displays date/time according to SMTP protocol. Body of the mail displays date/time using system regional settings (I assume you are using %DateTime% macro variable)
