I have RMA Manager Installed on XPSP2 and the RMA installed on Windows 2000 Server SP4

I am connecting form a 'home' account through the internet to a machine at work. This runs a Software firewall (Black Ice) which is disabled for this test.

When I test a connection i get 'Connection error', however at the remote end I see a message connection accepted. No Logs are produced on the remote machine.

For a test - If I install RMA manager on the remote machine (as well as the Agent) I am able to make a sucessful connection. (Logs are also now produced)

I would very much appreciate some help with this.

If both logs (log1.txt and log2.txt) are enabled and you see "Connection from <address>.. Accepted" message in the window but do not see any message in the log, it means
- Windows has received TCP connection request from RMA Manager
- Windows sent request to RMA
- RMA accepted connection

What happens next? Windows should send ACK flag to system where RMA Manager is installed. I assume Windows has been sent that flag, however system with RMA Manager never received packet. Why? Looks like your firewall dropped that packet.

Regards
Alex
