1. Log analyser working when using a SQL log DB
2. WMI tests
3. Ability for errors to be acknowlaged by admins
4. Scheduled downtime for tests
5. When loging into a DB it would be REALY usefull to be able to configure if a record is to be stored as text or int. Also to set global units for logging, like all values are in bytes in the log even if displayed in MB
6. This is just for fun but would be great ! GSM interface for text messages. Third party toos just don't cut it unless i am missing something.
Thanks

Hello Alex,
My Wish list
Scheduled downtime for tests, ability to pause a test for planned downtime.
SMS functionality build in
Web interface design, modular to integrate in helpdesk apps and Intranets (corporate design en colours)
PDA functionality
Ability for errors to be acknowledged by admins, or groups of users
More tests integrated in one Graph...
Thanks in advance

Log Analyzer 5.0 should work with ODBC

Yes, we have such task in "to do" list.
I think it will be implemented later

Global units? Yes, it has sense.
Text or int? I don't think you need special option - use '%Reply%' macro to save text data, use %Reply_Number% or %Reply_Integer% to store numbers.

I think we create our own external command line utility.

modular to integrate in helpdesk? What exactly it means?
You may use some parts of web interface provided by Web Service, e.g. you may intergate Quick Log or DashBoard into your web page...
What exactly it means? HostMonitor that will be able to run on PDA? We don't have such plan. Interface that can be used on PDA? We have Web Service...

Task in the list

Sending SMS:
I use SmsMaker: http://www.way-x.de/smsmaker, from Host Monitor, I just let HM create a textfile in SmsMaker:s OUT-directory, and SmsMaker send it, I think it works just fine.

I don't think this will be implemented soon. On the other hand multilevel alert thresholds can be configured with help of "advanced" action.
E.g. expression ('%Reply% > '50 %') can be used for warning messages, while expression ('%Reply% > '90 %') can be used for alerts.

Could we not have the option of having the test highlighted in orange if above 50% and red if above 80%, that sort of thing ?

My wish for v5.00:
Templates...
Define a test as a template
Define a device
Attache a template to a device
(somewhat similar to the alert templates)
This way if a kind of test needs a modification (treshold, alert template, ...) I don't have to change it 100 times for each device that has that test, but only once in the template !
thx !

Templates? We already have some experimental code for this purpose... But I am thinking about more advanced templates, template that can be used for set of tests. E.g. single template profile that can be used for 5 different test methods - 1 ping test, 3 TCP tests, UNC, Folder Size and CPU Usage test, with some master/dependant relations between these items.
Not sure it will be implemented. May be single one-test templates will be implemented (one-test means one test method, of course template can be used for many tests)
