EDIT: Sorry wrong forum, can you please move the thread
Dear all,
I had a frozen server running HM (the reason may have been another application - I don't know). After switching off and on the server the HML file was corrupted.
I'm sorry, but I don't have the exact error message from HM's start
It was like "Only xx tests could be loaded"
That happend more than one time.
Anyone else who had the same problem ?
Thanks
Juergen
PS: A helpful feature would be if HM could create a copy of its current HML file after each successful start. (Last known successful configuration) |

It mean file is truncated, theoretically it could happen if system crashes while HostMonitor saves test list.
HostMonitor saves information when system is going to reboot, so if system crashes right after reboot was initiated, we can have the problem.
Question is why system freezes...

H'm, may be better make backup copy before every save if "autosave" option is not enabled...

I think then there is no backup-copy of the current config but of the "before-current". Maybe I didn't understand what you mean. |

Correct, it will be "before current" copy.
But "create a copy after each successful start" option may provide "long long time before current" copy. Most of users does not reboot server/restart HostMonitor for a months, with this option you will have too obsolete copy.

Yes, Alex !! You are absolutely right. I didn't see that point.
Your suggestion is much better. |
