Heya folks.

First may I say that this (host monitor) software is amazing. It probabaly has to be the best monitoring software out there (so far).

Anyway, here's my problem.

I am running Host Monitor 4.42
I am running it on a Windows 2000 Professional Machine (SP4+)
Host monitor is running:
22 Windows Service tests (between 5-8 minutes a piece)
17 unc path tests (drive free space) (between 10-20 minutes a piece)
19 Ping tests (between .5-5 mintues a piece)
1 POP3 test
1 SMTP test
1 URL test

Ok
Often, host monitor fails on checking to see if services are running on the servers that are being checked for services. I have the mail notification running on 2 consecutive failures before emailing because otherwise, I'd be innudated with failure notifications. However, I still get a few throughout the day (2 consecutive failures) even though when i check, the services are running fine.

Any ideas?

Thank you.
What status do you see when HostMonitor reports error? Bad? or Unknown?
Unknown status means HostMonitor cannot retrieve information. Could you check event log (security) on remote system? Any useful information there?

Regards
Alex
