|
|
We are only working with RMA's and a lot of tests which are sending alerts by e-mail. If a RMA goes down we get a lot of e-mails which states Status Unknown = Bad. So i would like to make one test which checks if the RMA is alive and make the other tests dependend on this test. But a telnet test to port 1055 does not do the job.
Anyone suggestions?
Thanks,
Peter |

Why it does not do the job?
Another solution: ping '127.0.0.1' using RMA. If RMA works, this test always return "Host is alive" status.

PS
I think its better to solve primary problem "RMA goes down".
Could you please provide more information? RMA version? Windows? Service Pack? any antivirus monitors on the system? RMA installed as service or application? Any errors in the logs?
Regards

It's more like server is down or internet connection is down. So not the service itself is broken or something but more that the rma connection times out.
