Dialup to ISP first to send mail for backup SMTP
Is there a way to have HostMonitor dialup to an ISP to deliver mail using the backup SMTP server for mail alerts?
Its possible but complicated.
If you have some test that checks your primary SMTP server (Test A), you may create additional test (Test B) that will check connection to backup server. This additional test (Test B) should be disabled.
Test A may have 2 actions:
1) "bad" action - "Run HM script" action that should start script that will enable Test B.
2) "good" action - "Run HM script" action that should start script that will disable Test B.
Test B may have 2 actions:
1) "bad" action - "Dial-up to network" action to initiate connection
2) "good" action - send e-mail
