I've purchased HostMontor 4.42 w/ lifetime updates..

Q. Is there a recommended setting for testing intervals?

Q. Will 1 minute testing intervals cause glitches or other reporting problems such as unreliable data?

It all depends on your system and the number of tests defined. Just keep a watch on the performance and logging.

Marcus is right, it depends...
E.g. If you have set 6000 tests, HostMonitor will perform 6000/60 = 100 tests per second. It means:
- you have to increase value of "Don't start more than [N] tests per second" option (default value = 32).
- 100 tests per second can load your system, especially if these tests check some big files (e.g. Compare Files test method) or access remote systems (e.g. ODBC test method).

I would recommend to use different intervals for different tests depends on priority of the check.

Regards
Alex
