Alerts on bad and good response

Post by tyoungbauer »

I have things lik eservers that are dependant on the routers ahead of them. I don't seem to get alerts from the servers when the router cannot be contacted but when the router comes bak to a good status I get responses from the servers. Is there a way to only get alerts from the devices on good and bad alerts and not the tests that are dependant on them?

Yes, if testB (server) depends on testA (router) with "alive" condition and "Synchronize status & alerts" option is disabled, HostMonitor will not change testB status from Ok to Bad when router does not respond.
Will you receive some alerts or not also depends on action settings. E.g. If you use "Repeat: until status changes" for good action, HostMonitor will start action every time test returns Ok status.
