If you are running HostMonitor on Windows Server 2003, "SNMP" and "Traffic Monitor" tests may fail with "access violation" error.

Error produced by mgmtapi.dll. Windows 2000 had this error but Microsoft fixed problem in Windows 2000 SP2.

Looks like Microsoft made the same mistake in Windows Server 2003.
Unfortunately Service Pack for Server 2003 is not available yet

Possible workaround:
1) You can try to copy mgmtapi.dll from Windows XP or Windows 2000 SP4 system. We cannot guarantee everything will be perfect, but our test system after this replacement works fine. Several customers made the same replacement, system works fine.

2) You may setup HostMonitor (version 4.42+) to perform SNMP test using RMA (version 1.18+). RMA does not use mgmtapi.dll and can perform test correctly even on Windows Server 2003

Alex
