http

Any advice to get my IP-Tools HTTP tool working with my company network?
I'm at a company site and try to http a company website. I put in my authorization user/pwd on the HTTP options. I also marked "follow redirect" and "allow per-session cookies" (which is how I think my company saves authentication signal). I even put in my proxy info ... which nicely gets me through my company firewall to the internet by the way.
So, I think I've got all the settings correct, but I cannot hit a company (protected) website. I get a 504 status return (gateway timeout) now but I swear I was getting a 407 prior to that.
Is HTTP taking into account the proxy exceptions I have in my IE options?
Any way to tell it to defer to my IE internet options for proxy and exceptions?
Thanks

No, IP-Tools doesn't use IE settings.
But I do not understand why do you use proxy? You said "I'm at a company site and try to http a company website", I think it should work without proxy.
Possible reason to 407 error - server uses NT authentication. IP-Tools does not support it :-(

Yes, my company uses NTLM for initial authentication. Its very common. Not supported, eh? Bummer .. I was needing something to check http requests inside my intranet. Any suggestions?

My earlier comment about the proxy was to see if the presence of proxy parameters was part of the problem. Since there was not an proxy bypass exception list, I figured I had to wipe out the proxy settings when I wanted to go look at http requests at my intranet sites. I take it that I do.
Thanks for the quick reply, and congratulations on the superb software product.

IP-Tools was developed as internet tool, rather than intranet. That why it doest not support Windows specific authentication methods.
Probably we will include some features that will be useful in LAN (like SNMP browser, NTLM, etc) in future versions. But for now it is not supported :-(
