Method: SNMP Trap - How to set such a test to OK manually
SNMP and repeating dependent tests
I know the SNMP trap code is different than for the rest, but I have two tests. The parent is an SNMP trap type. The child type is irrelevant. When the SNMP trap fails once, the child should activate and repeat every minute. However, this doesn't happen. The child runs once and once only instead of every x minutes.
Could this be a bug?

"Parent", "child", "should activate"
Probably you mean "master test" and "dependant test"? SNMP Trap test item can be used as master test for other items. I cannot reproduce any problem here.

If you set test interval to 1 min, this will work just finethe child should activate and repeat every minute

Um...semantics aside, that's exactly what I'm saying. I probably should mention that we're using 5.92 on Windows 2003 Std Ed. Currently, we're not in the position to upgrade. Are you able to test it on this version?KS-Soft wrote:"Parent", "child", "should activate"![]()

When I found the issue in the production env, I replicated it perfectly in the lab env. However, it doesn't do this even though the SNMP trap test (master) shows bad. The dependent test is set to recur every 1min. Can you confirm your results?
