RMA - "Cannot Read Data" error

Post by Do B Brief »

OK, this will no doubt be very easy to someone.

I have installed the RMA on 2 x Win2K3 servers and set them up as per instructions but when I try to manage them or add them to the RMA manager it either hangs on port 1055 (which state that the port is already in use so I changed to 1054 on both the server and the RMA Mgr) or I get "Cannot read data" when using port 1054.

Is there anything that Win2K3 has tied down to prevent this?

Just a standard server build.

Cheers

1) Normally HostMonitor uses port 1054 for RCI interface. So its better to specify some other port.
2) I am not sure what application hangs? RMA Manager or RMA? RMA Manager may do not respond if it is waiting for connection with agent, it can wait up to "timeout" seconds.
3) Probably Windows built-in firewall does not allow to establish connection?
