All questions related to installations, configurations and maintenance of Advanced Host Monitor (including additional tools such as RMA for Windows, RMA Manager, Web Servie, RCC).
We currently have 5361 tests running, from about 40 diffrent clients (Mostly single server sites). The tests run about every three minutes, usually makes the hostmonitor pause for a little when we try to switch between diffrent folders but this is managable. When we set about 400 tests to log to a SQL database that is running locally. We can not do anything in the software with out waiting a couple of minutes for the next mouse click to register as an action. Any Idea's?
What version of HostMonitor do you use?
If you have installed version 4.48 (or higher), mark "Enable connection pooling" option that is located on Misc page in the Options dialog.
If this does not help, try to upgrade ODBC driver that you are using for connection to SQL server
We are currently running version 5.34 and have connection pooling checked, and we have the newest odbc drivers installed. Are there any more Ideas that you can think of?
Only HostMonitor responds so slowly? Or entire system works slow?
Could you please check resource usage using standard Task Manager? Probably system is our of resources. What application uses the most of handles, Memory, User objects, GDI objects?
