unable to reach SQL-Server

unable to reach SQL-Server

i have installed Hostmonitor and SQL-Client-Tools on Server1 and RMA on Server2 (SQL-Server)-
Test on Server 1: Test by Agent - check MS SQL Server: brings alway no answer! whats wrong? :-?

Actually client library/odbc drivers should be installed on system where RMA is installed. Application cannot use drivers that are installed on remote system.

But probably there is some other problem - agent should return "Unknown" status when it cannot load appropriate DLL.

Just to make it clear
- you are using "MS SQL" test method, right? Not ODBC Query test method?
- Test status is "No answer"? Not "Unknown"?

Other test methods like FreeSpace work normaly!

"No answer" means client library was loaded, server did not accept connection.
Could you check login/password? Could you check SLQ server logs?

ok - now i´m using the sa user f. authentication! all tests are ok!
