How do you specify what user DN to use for the LDAP test? I see that you can specify the password but see no way to specify the user DN to go with the password.

Joe,
sorry for delay

I think you can use "Base object" field (Distinguished Name), type string like "uid=userid"

Base object should be the location to start the search from. For example

You want to start the search in the resource OU of an LDAP tree you would specify the base as

ou=resource, o=company, c=us

Or in Active Direct example say the search needs to be started at the users container of the test.com domain you would do

cn=users,dc=test,dc=com

Yes, I know. But HostMonitor binds to server before performs search operation. I think it must work, you can use the same DN for binding and for searching.
It does not work in your case?

I haven't tried it yet. But follow this

Say I need to use the userid DN
cn=jricha34,cn=users,dc=joehome,dc=com and I want to search the cn=configuration,dc=joehome,dc=com container, how would I specify that?
