which tests I have to use for test the backups and the correct use of the antivirus updates?

HostMonitor does not provide special test method for this purpose, there are a lot of different antivirus and backup software. Some backup software records text log files, so you may use "Text Log" test method to monitor such log files. Some software records info into NT Event Log, so you may try to use "NT Event Log" test method. Probably you may use "File Availability" test method to check how old some file is...
