why some URL's cant' be tested

Post by SONIAMR »

I try to test some URL but some of them looks as "no answer" or "bad contents" or similar. If I navigate I can find the URL but in the test looks bad. why?

I try to test some URL
For example? If you have some problem, please provide more information:
- HostMonitor version?
- Windows version?
- Service Pack?
- test method (URL or HTTP)?
- what exactly URL cannot be tested?

Regards
Alex

Now I can test all the URL's. I'm using hostmonitor version 4.86, With SBS 2003 and the service pack I think is SP1.
Test method is URL.
thanx Alex

For both tests you can use the test "URL request".

And not to step on anyones toes but have you read the manual or other posts before posting new topics?

Strange, what's the ftp-site you are trying to monitor?

What's the exact error it replies?

1) Test does not fail because of unregistered version
2) I do not understand why you do not want to provide username and password? URL test provides special fields for this purpose

What status do you see? Unknown? Unknown host? Bad? No answer? ...
HostMonitor is started as service or application? What account do you use to run HostMonitor?
