I defined about 800 tests in hostmonitor and they all running nice.
But every day the hostmonitor ends up.
by analysing the problem I found out that the memory usage increases until no free mainmemory is left.

It is not the hostmonitor processes that cause the problem.
I see that the handles increase up to 90000

I can say that every five minutes about 2 MB RAM will be allocated.
The server does have Windows 2000 SP3 enterprise with dual 800MHz and 1 GB RAM

What can this behaviour cause ?

So, what process cause the problem? Do you have installed some antivirus monitor or personal firewall?
You may check what application uses so much resources using standard Windows Task Manager. It may display memory usage, handles, USER/GDI objects for each process.

Alex
