|
Hello,
I have a question concerning execution of external programs when a test goes wrong.
I need to send an email, but the computer uses a GSM-Router to connec to to the internet, which takes about 45 seconds.
When HostMonitor tries to send an email, it fails, because the DNS Request times out and the second attempt with the secondary mailserver also fails.
I wanted to try a workaround, where I start a batch script first that pings an internet domain, this causes the router to dial up to the internet. The script waits until a positive ping result and then closes.
I then want to send the email, BUT HostMonitor doesen't seem to wait for the first batch script to finish, it starts the script and, while it is still running, tries to send the email, which fails.
Is it possible, when executing several external programs, to wait for the first program to close and then continue with the other?
Thanks in advance,
Stefan. |
