I am monitoring a firewall via SNMP using AHM. One of the tests watched the last policy insatall date.
Is there a way to have a test go bad for 1 repeat if the value changed.
Example.
policy date is 23-7-04
Date chages to 24-7-04
Hostmon test goes bad for 1 recuranse and then goes back to OK
This is so I can get a message sent saying that the policy has changed.
Thanks

Depends on type of the variable. Counter is string? Or some number?

I am reading an SNMP value that gives a date (i think its a text string). Basicly I want a mail to be sent out if that value changes in any way.
However, I want only one mail and then to have the test go OK again.

I understand your needs. But its impossible for SNMP test and text string. Its possible for numeric values.
