We are trying to get some "Test Status Control" but we are not able to get it. We are on a WAN and we need to test a central router and 8 remote routers. Our intention is to set the 8 remote router tests dependant on the central one and additionally do some more control:
- We have problems with our ISP.
- We are pinging each router 5 times when and OK status is when 80% or more of ping are good (4 pings).
- We are pinging each router every 30 seconds.
- On a Down status we need this Status to be kept until the next 5 tests are OK; if not, the status must remain DOWN (This is due to a problem with paquets lost)
Is it possible to do this all?
How could we do it?

Thanks in advance.

Joan.

If you want to send 5 packets, its not a problem. But you cannot setup different limits for up/down status. E.g. if 80% of returned packets considered as limit for UP status, 79% of returned packets will be considered as DOWN status.
So, you may easily setup HostMonitor to send 5 packets and set UP status when 4 (or 5) packets were received, set DOWN status when 3 (or less) packets were received.

But its hard to setup configuration that you want. You will need to create auxiliary test items, create scripts to enable/disable tests, .... it will be too complicated.
