|
|
Hello Alexey,
Running version is 4.47beta.
A sample of our monitroing structure is:
Root\
Root\Group1\
Root\Group1\Location1\
Root\Group1\Location1\Device\
Root\Group1\Location1\Device\test1
Root\Group1\Location1\Device\test2
etc.
We have the HTML reports set to autogenerate every 5 minutes to a share.
Essentially, we need Location specific reports (Defined at Location1 level) and Group specific reports (Defined at the group level), which aggregate the data for the various locations.
The reports are being generated properly at the location level. However, at the group level they are not drilling down into the subfolders.
THis setup is to allow us to get a report at the global level, at the group level, and the customer level.
Are there any known limitations to the HTML reporting engine which I need to be aware of (such as folder levels under a given folder?).
I added a ping test at the Group level, and it was reported on, but none of the folders under it were included.
Regards,
Benjamin |

By default - if HostMonitor creates report for some folder, it does not display sub-folders that does not inherit parent folder settings (report settings).
Possible solutions:
1) use "Generate reports" action method with "Recursive mode - Folder & all subfolders" option. You may add this action into some "scheduled" profile or to some profile that is assigned to all/important tests.
2) use undocumented "AlwaysWithSubfolders" option. Just add "AlwaysWithSubfolders=1" line into hostmon.ini file ([Reports] section) and restart monitor.
Regards
