|
|
I perform HTTP tests on about 10 servers. At random (once per 2 weeks or twice in one day) I get a false, Unknown result on all these boxes.
Alerts are generated [SMSs to the support team’s cell phones ]. The only action that fixes it is if I stop and restart the HostMonitor service.
I don’t get the recovery alert though which I do if it’s a real failure.
Anyone else come across this one?
Host Monitor 4.42, Windows 2000-SP4, Dual processor.
Thanks

When "Unknown" status occurs, do you see any error description in "Reply" field?

1007 - resource allocation error. Looks like resource leakage in HTTP test...
But its strange. We (and other customers) monitor much more than 10 server. Actually my workstation is running under Windows 2000-SP4 but HTTP test works fine.. Truth to say I have single-processor system but I don't think it can be reason.
Could you send your test items for testing (we need HML file) to support@ks-soft.net?
Regards
